Founded in 2002, Women Weave is an NGO based in Mashewar, India dedicated to women's empowerment, poverty alleviation and sustainable handloom textiles. Nearly all their fabrics are created from naturally-dyed, hand-spun, hand-woven, organic cotton yarns. We chose their stunning interpretation of the classic buffalo check - rendered with natural indigo and madder yarns and accented with indigo kantha hand-stitching - to create a very limited run of our Dungri western shirt. The Dungri's hand-embroidered pocket stitching and back yoke shape subtly reference the pointed archways of Rajasthani architecture. It features a relaxed fit, a softly constructed point collar and faux buffalo horn snaps at the front placket, pocket and cuffs.
Proudly made in India from 100% cotton.
