We've done similar pieces previously, but we're always iterating and evolving.  Improved fit, more functional placket and pockets, straight hem.  Great on its own or over knits.

Naoki is 5'9" with a 29" waist and Ravi is 6' with a 30" waist .  They both wear an XL.

These run true to size but, like most things, look better when you size up (as we have on Naoki and Ravi).
