The main reason that you’ve probably never heard the name Andrew McAteer is a big part of what’s so great about what he does. There's not a lot of stock out there because it’s just him, creating incredible leather pieces by hand in his Queens workshop (which happens to be the basement of the building he's the superintendent for). From what we’ve seen, Andrew can make just about anything, but we were particularly blown away by his loafers. There are no machines in his space, so it took him about a month to make us five pairs of these entirely handmade shoes from the some of the most beautiful English black calf we've seen. He put them on a gutsy ridgeway sole that is perfect for winter. We're secretly hoping these won't go well so we'll feel less guilty grabbing pairs for ourselves.
These run true to size.
