The Black Hmong people are renowned for their batik textiles, which are hand-painted with beeswax, then dyed with natural indigo. Once dyed, the fabric is washed to remove the wax, revealing intricate patterns in the garment’s original, undyed color. After acquiring and using many beautiful vintage examples of these textiles for this drop, we were left with enough remnant fabric cuttings to piece together just four special patchwork editions of our Mandu jungle jacket. The Mandu features four roomy flapped pockets at its front with authentic, rubberized army buttons at the covered placket, pockets and cuffs. It comes fully lined with a single, oversized storage pocket at the inside left.
