Before those two brothers' Seaport shop became an Italian department store selling outsourced non-iron everything, they made the industry standard Oxford buttondown, here in the US.
Big. Heavy. Unimpeachable.
My father lived in those. This is an ode to him, not them.
The gutsiest Oxford we could find, dyed in the traditional Dabu method. That means this was fully painted in mud, dried, cracked then hand dyed. An exceptionally irregular process for an iconic shirt. Finished off with our hand-embroidered studio sun at the left side seam, to show that we make these pieces overseas for craft and beauty's sake.
Proudly made in India because they don't do this anywhere else.
Hunter is 6'1" with a 30" waist and wears an XL.
These run true to size but, like most things, look better when you size up (as we have on Hunter).
*Please note that these should be arriving next week, so may take a few extra days to make their way to you.
