ASICS is pleased to announce a partnership with Eighteen East on a GEL-NIMBUS® 10.1 collaboration. This marks the first time the two brands have come together.

“The primary goal for our GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 project was to approach a fast-looking silhouette with slow materials," said Eighteen East designer Samantha Fabry. "By playing with texture and shapes, we substituted performance-driven elements with unfinished, natural textiles to reflect the handmade approach to design that we take as a brand.”

The upper of the new model features hemp and cotton mesh, in addition to jacquard cotton and a raw edged cotton canvas. The utilization of these fabrics will show wear with time and age as the miles are put on them.

The GEL-NIMBUS 10.1 is a sportstyle silhouette that is based on the version of the GEL-NIMBUS that launched in 2008. The shoe features an asymmet- ric upper design and a signature open mesh. The shoes midsole includes a dual-layer EVA foam, GEL® technology inserts and a TRUSSTIC system designed to help provide advanced cushioning and support.
