18 East presents its first partnership with Japanese label, Nanga, born in 1941 and acclaimed for some of the highest quality down-filled products made for severe conditions.

Introducing the Lookout Jacket and Feather Moc, inspired by and designed as a kit for the rangers that still keep watch at the handful of fire lookouts scattered atop the Pacific Northwest’s Cascade Mountains.

The Jacket and Moc are cut from Japanese Takibi, a flame-resistant material made with a blend of aramid fibers, and filled with a 155g super water-repellent Spanish duck down. The jacket features a full cut silhouette with raglan sleeves, a heat-sealed 2-way zip front, oversized hip pockets with top and side entry, an asymmetrical left chest pocket, zip closure hidden stash utili- ty pocket at the right, hidden elasticized cuffs and two large interior cargo pockets.

Named for the Himalayan peak Nanga Parbat, Japanese down experts Nanga have been pro- ducing world class down filled product since 1947.
