"Using bottle, natural and brown together always reminds me of this house near JY's place on Shelter Island.  I've been referencing its wide striped awnings gently flapping in the breeze against faded brown shingles since my first visit, close to 15 years ago.  This genuinely handmade button-down nods to that.  Tonally natural, 3 dimensional stripes woven directly into the cloth. Hand block printed awning stripes on the back side (because that highlighted the irregularity of weave more beautifully).  Hand embroidered patchwork on the face of those stripes in the same dusty brown as that Shelter Island beach house.  The end result is a shirt that - I think - has a similar, unforgettable effect." - The Management
