"T-shirts are foundational items in your wardrobe, so I've named ours after foundational figures in my life.  Our everyday tee is named the Aly in honor of Alyasha Owerka-Moore, and our new pocket tee - with the same exceptional fit - is called the Ian, after Ian Mackaye.  The older I get, the clearer it is to me that Ian figured it all out before graduating high school.  There are endless incredible interviews with Ian about how we should live in the present and focus our lives on tangible moments.  Before we move on, I encourage you to go listen to them (and then listen to Minor Threat, Fugazi, Embrace, The Evens, Coricky and basically anything else he's touched).

While watching one such interview, I noticed his Skateboarder Magazine pocket tee, with the left chest pocket placed low enough for the logo to be printed above it, instead of directly on it.  

It's not lost on me that Ian would surely say that if I'm focused on his shirt, I'm missing his point (kind of like the interviewer in the video).  But we all take cues from people that inspire us.  So with that, we're excited to introduce the Ian, with a deliberately low placed left chest pocket (and no clear 18E branding above it - if you want it to say it, do it yourself)." - The Management
